Welcome to Hands-on Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy training program for Gynaecologists and Surgeons in Nairobi, Kenya. 3rd Park Hospital is organizing a Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy Hands-on Training Program, a CPD Accredited Workshop that will be led by our experienced, pro-active, highly qualified doctors at 3rd Park Hospital.

From training basics like diagnostic laparoscopy to advanced procedures like total laparoscopic hysterectomies, this workshop will give pure hands-on experience to our trainees as we believe surgery cannot be learned by observing but only by performing. With the advent of laparoscopy being considered as an important subspecialty in gynecology, comes the need for carefully structured laparoscopy training programs in Kenya.

Hysterectomy is the most frequently performed major gynaecological procedure. Traditionally performed as an abdominal or open operation, laparoscopy has demonstrated to be both effective and safe with multiple well-established advantages including decreased rates of surgical complications and improved recovery with reduced postoperative pain and shorter hospital stay. For these reasons, Laparoscopic Hysterectomy (LH) is considered the gold standard surgical option for the treatment of both benign gynecological conditions and early-stage endometrial cancer
