Your employer must check your exposure to harmful welding fumes and provide good ventilation, shielding and special equipment. You can also reduce your health risk by taking safety precautions such as:-
1. Ensuring that there is enough ventilation by making sure that roofs vents, windows are always opened and roof fans or floor fans are always working
2. Always have your personal protective equipment that includes: - shields, helmets and goggle fitted with special filter lens or plates to protect yourself from injuries.
3. Read and understand manufacturers instructions for the equipment your using if you have doubts about using it.
4. Carefully review safety data sheets
