In the unfortunate situation that you or someone else has severe bleeding this tip may just save your/their life…
Firstly, remain calm. Apply steady, direct pressure on the wound using clean dressing- while making sure you protect yourself from exposure/contact from the other person's blood, help them lie down but elevate the wound above the level of their heart to reduce blood loss.
Raise their legs to ease shock and dial the emergency hotline numbers and monitor the injured party as you wait for the medics/emergency units to arrive.
