A safari in Kenya's famous Masai Mara National Reserve, with its amazing variety of wild animals, captures the true spirit of East Africa.

Sarova Mara Game Camp offers a unique opportunity to experience a tended safari.  There are 75 luxurious tents, with permanent roofs and floors and their own bathroom, set amid lush gardens and exotic flowers.

The resort has its own large swimming pool with poolside bar.  There is also an excellent restaurant, a second bar and a permanent barbecue.

Guests who don't mind an early start can watch sunrise over the Mara from a hot air balloon and see the wildlife awakening in the savannah before landing for a sumptuous bush breakfast with champagne.

Or you can simply relax outside your own tent or sip a long drink by the pool and listen to the sounds of Africa Wildlife, from cicadas and tree frogs to exotic birds and monkeys.

A variety of dining experience are on offer including bush, boma, garden, pool barbecue and salt lick.  Walking safaris can also be arranged.

    Great stay in the Mara...

    The Sarova Hotels know their business!

    Having stayed at a number of the Sarova Hotels... I have to admit that I am slightly biased... but if I had to choose a favorite, it would have to be the Sarova Mara.

    The service, food, ambiance are amazing, but my favorite part of this lodge are the tents (if you can call them that), they are large, spacious, luxurious and yet have not lost the feel of bush. And the beds... wow... what else can I say, except I got better sleep at the Sarova Mara than I've ever had in my own bed.

    Oh yeah... to get to the rooms you have to walk across a man made dam via a long wooden bridge which is great as this increases the distance from the main hotel and allows you to feel secluded and alone in the wild of the Mara.
