When AAR started operating in 1984, our primary business was evacuation of medical and accident casualties, both by road and air. As our membership increased, so did the needs of our clients, creating more opportunities to comprehensively provide healthcare packages for our clients. It is our flexibility, innovation and readiness to respond to the needs of our clients that have today made us the leading healthcare company in East Africa, as encapsulated in our vision, mission and core values

Today
We are today the largest and most successful private healthcare company with a footprint in the East African region. We have 18 health centres spread over Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania; through which we provide preventative and curative healthcare to clients from all walks of life. We also offer rescue and evacuation services to our members from anywhere in the world.

With a current membership of close to 100,000, we are not only leaders in healthcare but  are also the preferred provider for both the public and private sectors in East Africa.
Looking Ahead

We are committed to fulfilling our vision and are continuously on the lookout for opportunities on the continent. We have received and are studying a number of special interests and invites from the governments of countries neighbouring Eastern Africa - including Somalia, Ethiopia and Sudan – who wish to benefit from our services in their countries. 

We are also alert to the need to be always ahead in our service delivery and are committed to the continuous improvement of our services and infrastructure. 

We have implemented robust clinical and administration systems to create and support service delivery. Our ever-growing number of health centres throughout the region, increased membership and diversification of skills base, has placed us at an advantageous position to be at the helm of healthcare in Africa.
